The study of the pigment apparatus (chlorophylls, carotenoids) and flavonoids will allow to reveal plants adaptation mechanisms, which subsequently can be used in ecological biochemical studies. purpose is determine content photosynthesis pigments phytomass hydroponically grown garden sage (Salvia officinalis L.) compared with open soil. Two varieties were studied: ‘Dobrinya’ ‘Kubanets’ from two different producers. under lighting regimes (red, blue white LEDs LEDs). open-soil plant specimens (‘Kubanets’ by Johnsons, Gavrish) studied for comparison. SHIMADZU UV-1900i spectrophotometer was content. results regarding chlorophylls a, b carotenoids showed advantages hydroponic cultivation on mineral wool substratum Johnsons colored LEDs, Gavrish variety LEDs. In general found more favorable than one chlorophyll accumulation when are cultivated systems. higher observed Johnsons. intensive soil hydroponics.
